I actually started out as a 3D Generalist, doing everything from tracking to lighting for about four years. At some point, I realised that while I enjoyed the craft, I wasn’t necessarily the most naturally gifted artist.
But I loved the industry and knew I wanted to stay in it. That’s when I started looking toward production.
At first, I thought production would be all about fun client meetings and being charming, but I quickly learned there’s so much more to it. It’s about communication, strategy, problem-solving, and supporting the team every day. It’s challenging, but in the best way.
Over the past ten years, working across TVCs, broadcast, and film, I’ve grown so much both professionally and personally. Staying in production has allowed me to stay close to the creative work while helping bring it all together, and that’s something I really value.

Andor S1, Time Bandits, Percy Jackson & The Olympians S1, Coyote vs. Acme, Citadel: Diana and currently on a TBA Netflix Episodic.
I transitioned into the film industry from Sports Event Management, and got my start in VFX at ILM Vancouver in 2021. I started off as a VFX PA on Andor S1 and wrapped the show as a VFX Coordinator. From there I had the chance to work on several other episodic projects and across all departments (Gen/Env will forever have my heart), including working with the Stagecraft Content team on Percy Jackson.
In 2023 I was offered the opportunity to work with the client side VFX team on a Warner Bros feature film in London, and within 9 days of the offer I packed up my life, landed in the UK and started working as a freelance VFX Coordinator. I am now into my third year of freelancing, and on my second project as a Senior VFX Coordinator.
I had a very unconventional entry into the industry, but I am very grateful for my diverse background and the non-film related knowledge/skills I bring into my work. I enjoy the fast paced environment and problem solving that comes with working in this industry, and I certainly make use of my sociology degree on a daily basis!

F1, Deadpool & Wolverine, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Peacemaker S1, Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Adam, Captain America: Brave New World
I started my working life as a chef. I loved the craft, the teamwork, and the fast pace, but eventually I felt it was time for a change. Looking for something new where my skills from the kitchen would still be valuable, I landed a role in the facilities team at Wētā FX. It wasn’t a glamorous beginning (I really honed my dishwasher stacking skills 😅), but it opened the door to a completely new industry full of opportunity, and before long I was offered the chance to step into production within the Motion Department.
Soon after, life brought me to the UK, where I joined Framestore as a Production Coordinator. Since then, I’ve worked with teams across the full VFX pipeline, gaining a deeper understanding of how all the pieces fit together. It’s a unique opportunity to be at the centre of creative projects and to work alongside the incredible people who make them happen. It’s really rewarding to be part of the problem-solving that brings these ideas to life.
