What happens after I apply?
Immediately after applying, you will receive a confirmation email to let you know we have received your application and are processing it. If accepted into the course, you will receive notification of your acceptance outlining next steps. Once you have enrolled and paid to secure your spot in the course, you will receive your formal enrolment and access to Mayhem's online learning platform "Canvas", along with tips on how to best prepare and set you up for success in the course. Two weeks before your course starts, full access to all course materials will be granted, ensuring you are well prepared for your exciting journey. Here you can explore your course content and get started on any preparations required before the course. All course materials and relevant video conference links for live workshops and guest presentations are available on Canvas.

How much experience do I need with the software taught?
No experience is required with the software taught, however it is highly recommended that you go through the pre-course preparation materials if you are new to spreadsheets.

What are the admission requirements?

Web Browser: Flow Production Tracking is compatible with the latest versions of popular web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. It is recommended to use the most up-to-date version of your preferred browser for the best performance.

Operating System: Flow Production Tracking is compatible with both Windows and macOS operating systems. Ensure that you are using a supported version of your respective operating system.

Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is necessary to access and use Flow Production Tracking effectively. High-speed broadband or a reliable internet connection is recommended to ensure smooth operation.

Hardware: Flow Production Tracking does not have specific hardware requirements since it is a cloud-based platform. However, having a computer with a modern processor, sufficient RAM, and storage capacity will contribute to a better overall experience when using Flow Production Tracking.

Do I need to purchase software?
No. There is no need to purchase Zoom or Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid) separately. Zoom can be accessed for free through any web browser, allowing you to participate in the course without any additional cost. Similarly, access to Flow Production Tracking will be granted throughout the course via Mayhem, eliminating the need for a separate purchase.
The course learning platform "Canvas" is best viewed via Google Chrome. There are difficulties when using Firefox.

Do you offer financial aid, HECS or fee-help?
Mayhem offers Afterpay (Australia & New Zealand) and PayPal Pay Later. These provide the option to pay in installments. Mayhem does not offer HECS / Fee-Help. The fees for each course are available on the respective course pages.

WHAT TO EXPECT
When and where do workshops take place?
As an online school, we have the advantage of being accessible from anywhere in the world! As long as you have a reliable internet connection, webcam, and a strong desire to learn, you can enroll in our courses.

We have a team of experts located all over the world, covering various time zones. We facilitate online learning through our dedicated learning platform called "Canvas," where you can access all the course materials. Additionally, we conduct live workshops using Zoom, which are also recorded for convenient viewing at a later time. Please note, in general, it is mandatory to attend live online workshops 'in person'. Watching the recordings will not be sufficient. Completion certificates will only be awarded to those who attend all workshops.
For the VFX & Animation Coordinator course, we offer two live workshops per week of the course. The schedule can be found on the Course page and Booking page when you pay, or on Canvas after enrolment.
Online education is a great option for students who need flexibility due to work and family commitments or those who prefer the convenience of studying from home.

How much time should I dedicate?
We recommend students actively engage with all the relevant online course materials provided prior to the workshops in order to get the most they can out of their education, and attend all live workshops. It's important to note that this is a fast-paced and intensive course. While some may find the rhythm naturally fitting, others might face challenges due to the steep learning curve. But remember, every expert was once a beginner. Persistence and effort are your best allies. Our team at Mayhem is here to support you every step of the way, keeping your success in mind.
We strongly encourage our students to fully dedicate themselves to the course, as this will enable them to have the most rewarding experience.
